“My horse was very difficult to clip. He hated the noise of clippers, but worse still, the vibration against his skin. He needed full sedation in order to do any kind of clip, as without it, we just got rearing and bucking all round the yard. It was incredibly stressful.
Then I met Abi. Abi took us right back to basics, and over several sessions, slowly and gently re-introduced Louie to the clippers, so that he eventually remained relaxed instead of becoming stressed when they were switched on near him. Abi helped me to recognise the signs of stress and also relaxation in horses, so that when I was practicing with Louie and the clippers on my own, I would know when to back away, and when it was ok to carry on. I continued practicing and then, last week, was delighted and amazed, when for the first time, Louie allowed me to clip him, on my own, with no sedation at all, and no stress! The relief that I can now easily clip him by myself, without needing to sedate him, is immense! I am absolutely over the moon. I would recommend Abi to anyone looking for help with their horse. She is amazing!”

‘Having worked with horses for 10+ years I had very set ideas of how horses and their training worked. Abigail challenged these ideals and completely changed the way I view training, teaching me patience and empathy for the animals we work with. My Show-jumping mare was difficult to the point of having her actual name "Grumpy" but Abigail helped me learn about the reasons behind a horse's personality and the way that we as humans project our own emotions onto horses.
Grumpy was not a grumpy horse, she was a horse in pain with a history of abuse with humans that had led her to be on the defensive but she absolutely blossomed with the slow and sympathetic approach to training that Abigail uses, becoming a much happier and more confident horse than anyone from her previous homes could ever have believed.’
